Finished Bore European Standard Sprockets – Product Overview
Korea Ever-Power finished bore European standard sprockets are supplied pre-machined to your shaft diameter — bore, keyway and grub screws all done. The installer removes the sprocket from the box, slides it onto the shaft, tightens two grub screws and the drive is ready. No lathe, no broach, no keyway cutter required on site.
The finished bore range covers chain sizes 06B-1 through 20B-1 to DIN 8187 / ISO R606, with bore diameters from 10 mm through 100 mm depending on chain size and tooth count. Every sprocket is pre-bored to H7 tolerance as standard — the correct fit class for a keyed shaft with normal industrial running clearance. H6 (interference fit) and H8 (loose clearance) are available on request for applications with specific assembly or thermal expansion requirements.
The keyway is machined to BS 4235 Part 1 dimensions and supplied with two M-series grub screws positioned 90° apart — one over the keyway and one at 90°. This dual-screw arrangement prevents axial movement of the sprocket under load reversals, which is a common cause of sprocket walk and premature bore wear in single-setscrew designs. The keyway base is machined square and the keyway walls are parallel to within the BS 4235 tolerance, ensuring the key seats fully without rocking.
For shaft sizes outside the catalogue bore range, or for non-standard tolerances, our stock bore European sprockets allow the bore to be machined to any diameter up to the hub maximum. For taper lock bush mounting, see our European taper bore range.

⏱ When to choose finished bore
- Shaft diameter falls within the catalogue bore range
- No on-site machining equipment available
- Replacement must be fitted immediately — no lead time for custom boring
- Standard H7 bore tolerance is acceptable
- Drive uses a standard parallel key to BS 4235
Bore Tolerance Quick Reference — Which Fit Class Do You Need?
H7 (Standard — supplied as default)
Sliding clearance fit with keyed shaft. Sprocket slides on for assembly and is located by the key and grub screws. Correct for the great majority of industrial conveyor, agricultural and process drives at normal operating temperatures.
H6 (Closer tolerance — on request)
Tighter bore tolerance. Used where accurate sprocket concentricity is critical — high-speed chain drives above 400 rpm, precision timing applications or drives where minimal runout at the sprocket pitch circle is specified by the OEM. Requires careful assembly.
H8 (Loose — on request)
Wide clearance fit. Rarely specified for drive sprockets, but used where differential thermal expansion between the sprocket and shaft is expected — for example, cast iron sprockets running on steel shafts in high-temperature environments, or where paint or coatings will be applied after fitting.
All bores supplied with keyway to BS 4235 Part 1. Grub screw thread diameter and depth match the hub wall thickness at each size. Specify tolerance class H6 or H8 when ordering if required — H7 is supplied if not stated.
Dimension key: P = Pitch (mm) | de = Tip diameter (mm) | dp = Pitch circle diameter (mm) | Bore min = smallest finished bore stocked | Bore max = largest finished bore for that Z | Key = keyway width × depth (BS 4235) | Grub screws = 2 off, 90° apart

Aplikacije
MRO Replacement Drives
The primary use case for finished bore sprockets is maintenance replacement on existing drives. When a sprocket wears out, the shaft diameter and keyway size are already known. A finished bore sprocket with the correct bore and tooth count arrives ready to fit — restoring production without a machining step and minimising downtime. The 08B-1 and 10B-1 sizes cover the majority of European industrial drive replacements.
OEM Machine Builds with Standard Shafts
Machine builders using standard shaft diameters from the catalogue bore range can significantly reduce manufacturing cost by buying finished bore sprockets rather than blank hubs requiring individual boring and keyway cutting. For a production run of 50 machines each with 4 sprocket positions, using finished bore sprockets avoids 200 individual boring and broaching operations. Visit our sprocket product category for the full OEM range.
Agricultural Machinery Service
European agricultural machinery — combine harvesters, balers, mowers, tedders and cultivators — uses predominantly 08B and 10B chain in the header, threshing and conveyor drives. Most shaft sizes in these machines fall within the 12–50 mm finished bore range. Agricultural service workshops that stock finished bore sprockets in the common tooth counts (13, 17, 19, 25T) can service most call-outs without a machining step.
Finished Bore vs Stock Bore vs Taper Bore — Which to Choose?
| Criterion | Finished Bore | Stock Bore | Taper Bore |
|---|---|---|---|
| Machining required | None — ready to fit | Bore, key & setscrew required | Bush bore only — at bush supplier |
| Shaft size flexibility | Limited to catalogue bore sizes | Any bore up to hub maximum | Full range via bush bore |
| Installation speed | Fastest — minutes | Slowest — requires machining | Fast — 3 screws |
| Removal for maintenance | Slide off (may need puller) | Slide off (may need puller) | Tool-free — 3 screw ejection |
| Unit cost | Lowest — no extra machining | Low (sprocket) + machining cost | Sprocket + bush cost |
| Best for | MRO replacement, OEM standard shafts | Non-standard shafts, high Z count | Frequent changes, reversing drives |
For drives with frequent sprocket changes, shock loads or reversing duty, see our European taper bore sprocket range. For non-standard shaft sizes, see stock bore European sprockets.

Šta kažu naši kupci
★★★★★
"We maintain 34 conveyors across two sites. Previously we kept 20B and 16B stock bore blanks and had them bored each time — 2 to 3 days waiting for machining. With Korea Ever-Power finished bore sprockets in the sizes we use, the lathe step is gone completely. We can now replace a drive sprocket between shifts."
K.B., Maintenance Supervisor
United Kingdom – Aggregate & Quarrying
★★★★★
"We build 80 to 100 packaging machines per year, all using 08B-1 chain on 25 mm shafts. Korea Ever-Power finished bore sprockets in the 08B-1 25 mm bore arrive ready to press on. We ordered a year's stock of the four tooth counts we use — the consistency is excellent and the bore tolerance is correct every time."

★★★★★
"We service combine harvesters across the harvest season. The 10B-1 and 12B-1 finished bore sprockets in 25 and 30 mm bore cover the majority of what we need in the field. No machining van on site — just a hex key, a mallet and 20 minutes per sprocket. Korea Ever-Power dispatches orders the same day for stock sizes."
